Synopsis
Ralf
Isau, who has been considered as the most intelligent
successor of the great fantasy author Michael Ende, has
conceived this great story as a thriller that does not
let the reader breath. The protagonist, David Camden,
was born in 1900 and he lives a complete century. Therefore,
under this novel underlies the ambition of telling -in
a fantastic and literary way- the events of the entire
20th century.
The
project is so huge that the author has divided it into
four long stories, the first of which is titled The Boy
of the Century. Since it was published in autumn of 1999,
the number of readers has not stopped growing. Isau uses
with great mastery his worlds of fantasy, old myths, sagas
and legends. Through them he wants to talk about what
has taken place in the world throughout the century that
just ended. It is a book that makes the reader understand
the complex plot of the history of our time.
