Although legends do not have to be understood like historical stories in strict sense, they are not absolutely opposite to history. The nucleus of their current sense is: if these people were not destroyed by the contradiction of the reality, today they also contribute with hope in the salvation and the liberation. According to Anselm Grün, in the legends of "the unfinished thing" we discovered our own fears, our doubts, our experience of the meaningless, our solitude.
