Synopsis
Bogota
has been surrounded for months. The government has fled
to Cartagena and the guerrilla’s forces, that already
control the south of the city, fight against the army
and the paramilitary. While the atrocities in all the
fronts multiply, two foreign correspondents, the gorgeous
Icelander Bryndis Kiljan and maltes Olaf Terribile, investigate
a dark episode of weapons’ traffic between the guerrilla
and the national army, whose ramifications will lead them
through a clandestine Bogota until finding the clues of
a poisoned conflict.
In
addition to the wall of Bogota, the excellent story that
gives title to this book, Santiago Gamboa reunites a handful
of stories whose leading roles are played by journalists
in a service mission, in which the Colombian writer shows
his mastery of the most diverse topics, from humor and
eroticism, to disquieting atmospheres.
