Synopsis
A
photographer, Ines Ruano, receives a peculiar gift in
her 45th birthday: two men dressed in black request that
she pays with her soul for the good luck already granted.
It is a joke of her mother who wants her to meet a guy
to make out.
Ines’s
mother also wants to control that relationship and put
an end to it as if her daughter were a piece in a game
that only she handles. A mother who perhaps can never
forgive her for ending with her only love. Such a rivalry
between mother and daughter will only be surpassed when
destiny or devil is rebelled to give back to each one
her true life without deceits and maneuverses.
Carmen
Posadas obtains a modern novel that combines reality and
dreams, fears and superstitions by doing credible incredible
things. This novel contains purified and wisely combined
elements of her previous narrative works. It is a roundtrip
game that allows for different levels of reading from
the most entertaining one, in which personages of the
actual Spanish society can be recognized, to the most
introspective one that takes us to the true value of magic
and affection.
