Synopsis
Within the Tarot’s
tradition, it is commonly accepted the Egyptian origin
of the Tarot. Without a doubt, the Egyptian symbolism
has inspired numerous Tarot designs, and the present cards
use conventional images whose roots are certainly Egyptian,
but very few of them show in their totality the Egyptian
Gods as well as their myths and religion.
Clive Barrett, gives the Tarot back to
its land of origin, and it does it in this beautiful work
composed by the book and 78 cards that offer to the reader
a magnificent and complete text where the links between
the Tarot’s symbolism and the most important Egyptian
myths are shown, as well as their practical use, and basic
information on the characters and scenes that appear in
each card.
There
must be also mentioned the attractive design of the cards
that includes the Egyptian Pantheon’s most important
Gods as well as the culture’s own symbolism.
